The Zambia Disaster Risk Reduction and management Unit (DRRMU) was established in 2003. It aims to increase community resilience to agricultural hazards due to floods and drought. It does this by promoting among others, Conservation Agriculture as a way to increase agricultural productivity and production among small-scale farmers. The unit supports the expansion of effective input and service delivery systems and works with government and communities to strengthen their capacity in disaster prevention and mitigation. The team comprises the DRRMU Manager, two Agronomists, a Food Security Officer, an Operations Officer and Administrative Assistant.
